COURSE DESCRIPTION:

In a grand round formats, Pacific University, College of Optometry residents will present topics of interest in Series of Deadly Diplopia: Management of Ocular Myasthenia Gravis & Deadly Diplopia: Hot to Diagnose & Manage Intracranial Aneurysms

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Improve quality of care to patients who have ocular myasthenia gravis
  • Acute double vision can be an alarming chief complaint with a number of etiologies – some of which are deadly. In addition, intracranial aneurysms are rare entities that can turn life-threatening in a matter of seconds, so the ability to recognize them quickly is vital
  • Recognize systemic and ocular signs and symptoms of myasthenia gravis
