COURSE DESCRIPTION:

In a grand round formats, Pacific University, College of Optometry residents will present topics of interest in Herpes Zoster & Malignant Hypertension

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Recognize the importance of early detection in the disease progress to prevent as much vision loss as possible.
  • Utilize multiple imaging modalities in an optometric setting to further aid in diagnosis and management of malignant hypertension.
  • Review related ocular comorbidities associated with HZO and HIV/AIDS.
  • Understand the clinical relationship between HZO and HIV/AIDS.
  • Discuss clinical presentation and management of herpes zoster ophthalmicus (HZO)
