COURSE DESCRIPTION:

In a grand round formats, Pacific University, College of Optometry residents will present topics of interest in Traumatic Brain Injury Patients and Esotropia

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Recognize the diagnostic differences in exam evaluation, treatment, management and prognosis of essential infantile esotropia compared to other types of esotropia.
  • To educate attendees on proper treatment and management of those patients with Visual Midline Shift Syndrome
  • To show attendees a method in which they may test a patient for a suspected Visual Midline Shift
  • By the end of this lecture, attendees will be able to discuss different treatment options with adult traumatic brain injury patients
  • By the end of this lecture, attendees will be able to identify and diagnose convergence insufficiency in traumatic brain injury patients
  • Describe the treatment and management options available to patients and their families for essential infantile esotropia.
