COURSE DESCRIPTION:

“Follow the Flashing Lights, Using Intense Pulse Light Treatment to get the Ocular Surface Back on Track,” is a one credit CE course detailing the novel use of Intense Pulse Light (IPL) for patients suffering from ocular surface dryness, particularly secondary to rosacea. Evidenced-based mechanism of action and patient selection will be the main focus, with video demonstration and patient cases for support.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • To model how Intense Pulsed Light Therapy can be integrated into patient treatment course of anterior segment dryness, through case reports from presenting doctor.
  • To identify patient types that would most benefit from Intense Pulsed Light Therapy, including those with rosacea.
  • Understand the indications for laboratory tests used to diagnose Zika virus.
